Truluck's and Red Herring

Nothing much, just a few small updates. =)

So my team at Bazaarvoice hit our stretch goals and were rewarded with a scrumptious meal at Truluck’s. That was pretty cool.

We were also named one of the Global Top 100 Tech Startups by Red Herring. I’m not entirely sure what criteria they used (looks like not raw worth in cash, since Facebook didn’t make it), but we’re on the list along with Mozilla, Wikia, and others I don’t know much about. =) Another award we recently got was a Top Tech Innovation award from the Austin Business Journal. It’s pretty cool working at such an awesome company… we just need more people!

And… a pretty belated virtual happy birthday to my sister who I just recently purchased a belated gift for. =p

Halloween!

Okay, it’s a bit late, but for those who haven’t seen it yet… here was my Halloween costume:

I made the headphones the night before and they actually play music. =) Kat helped a bunch on the body portion (especially the letters). She wore it to the Statesman later and it won their office “Best Costume” contest. Yays!

Hello?

Poor neglected blog. I have been too busy to do anything with it. I also, highly doubt, that I will be able to do my yearly redesign of OWeb this year, seeing that there are only four days left in October and I have other, more pressing matters, to devote my time to. =)

I’ll try to post pics of my Halloween costume this year, though… and if I don’t here, I’m sure it will be on my flickr, which is less neglected. =)

Sleep well, blog… perhaps I will have more time in the future…

Stuff

Eeek, it’s been a while. I’m not entirely sure what I’ve done the past few weeks, but I’ve seen a few movies. I saw the latest Die Hard, Transformers, among others and I enjoyed them both. Transformers definitely had its flaws, and the Autobots were a bit disappointing at the end, but overall, it was an enjoyable experience, and I wouldn’t mind seeing it again.

I got mixed up and thought that Jazz was the cop car in the beginning (actually, Prowl is the Autobot cop in the cartoons - I got him mixed up with Jazz, who is the Porsche), so that was confusing. That initial chase seen was pretty fun though, especially the beginning. I think they built up and executed that well. The music throughout the film was, generally, good as well.

Even though Die Hard 4 was much more over the top than the previous ones and PG-13, I still enjoyed it quite a bit.

I need to find some time to watch Ratatouille, which I’ve heard nothing but good things about… but that can wait. I’m sure it’ll be in theaters for a while.

Earlier today I went to Caleb and Millie’s wedding in Houston with my family. It was a nice wedding and they booked out an entire restaurant for everyone, which was pretty cool. They didn’t allow pictures during the ceremony, but here are a few from before/during the reception:

As usual, the rest are on my flickr.

Yikes

I really need to bump that image of the 1D Mark III down a bit before it gets released or I fear there shall be no return for me. =)

I have been looking for a CF card and card reader for the past few weeks and I have no idea where it is. It’ll be a little while card reader (kinda Mac-ish), with a green 2GB Transcend CF card in it (I think). If anyone has seen it, please let me know. =) I thought I left it in my room, but I can’t find it anywhere.

Now, I must find something to eat…
