Oomph

Oye, I’ve been too busy to tend to OWeb lately (especially since work keeps me much more busy than previously =)… I’ve got a stack of pics to upload from various events… but I haven’t gotten to them yet. Maybe I’ll make a more descriptive post once I get pics up. =)

I got the mocha cappuccino at Round Rock Donuts on Sunday morning and it was pretty good… went extremely well with the donut holes. I think I will probably die from things like that if I kept eating them though. =)

Went to a potluck at Melvin’s the other day, which was pretty cool. There was a ton of chicken, and all very tasty. =) I got to see his brewery although I didn’t really partake of any of it, but it was pretty impressive nonetheless. I’ve got a pic of the fridge he modified… uhhh, I’ll get it up on my flickr later.

“Sex is currency
She sells cars,
She sells magazines
Addictive, bittersweet, clap your hands,
with the hopeless nicotines

Everyone’s a lost romantic,
Since our love became a kissing show
Everyone’s a Cassanova,
Come and pass me the mistletoe

Everyone’s been scared to death of dying here alone

She is easier than love
Is easier than life
It’s easier to fake and smile and bribe

It’s easier leave
It’s easier to lie
It’s harder to face ourselves at night,
Feeling alone
What have we done?
What is the monster we’ve become?

Where is my soul?

Numb” - Switchfoot

Cookies!

So, to show appreciation to the Vox staff, our Elements made cookies and delivered them. Here’re some pics:

Yaaay Cookies

All Done!

And this is Essence who didn’t really do anything except take three hours to get a pizza and eat almost all of Garrick’s chips:

Essence eating all the chips

haha… more on flickr. =)

Also, I went over to Olivia’s yesterday for a bit after she left a voicemail on my phone telling me she had a “really cute beagle!!!!” over. It was funny watching the beagle and Oink play as the beagle would try to bite Oink’s face and to defend from it, Oink would try smash him to the ground with either his chin or his butt… haha… it was kind of like watching a stegosaurus fight a velociraptor or something…

Dogs

MONSTER!

Elements!

Spent pretty much all yesterday evening/night with my Elements working on some appreciation/thank you gifts. I’m not going to say to who or whatever yet because it’s a surprise (sssshhh!)… but they should be delivered today, and I’ll post some pics of the event after I process the pics from my camera (maybe tonight or tomorrow?). Essence was there the entire time and didn’t really do much except take about three hours to get us a pizza, haha. It’s ok though, cause it wasn’t entirely his fault I suppose and it ended up being free.

Ummm… guess I’ll just wait for the pics to talk more about that. =p Thanks to Olivia and Stephanie for letting us use your place for so long. =)

RR Donuts

Went to Round Rock to get some good old Round Rock donuts with Kathy on Saturday. When I asked for two dozen, she said we’d have to wait a few minutes because they weren’t done yet… she said this like this would disappoint me. Psh. Fresh donut holes, how could I be unhappy?! That was great news!

Anyways, after she gave us the donuts, she asked if we took “the test.” I thought “huh? what test?” I was pondering whether we had to take a test to order donut holes now. Turns out she was asking if we had just taken the SAT. Doh… lol. =p

The Nancy

Happy birthday, Nancyface. =)

Yesterday, I went to the mall to look for a suit jacket and surprisingly found one at Express that fit well enough (better than anything else I’ve tried on previously). It’s slightly too big, but it doesn’t look bad and it’s got room for growth, so I got it. I was expecting to have to look for hours and hours because the previous time I looked failed miserably. That made me happy. =)

“All around me are familiar faces
Worn out places - worn out faces
Bright and early for their daily races
Going nowhere - going nowhere
And their tears are filling up their glasses
No expression - no expression
Hide my head I want to drown my sorrow
No tomorrow - no tomorrow” - Michael Andrews

Jobo

So the company I work for, Bazaarvoice, is in need of content analysts to moderate reviews for our clients. You can see some more info here and let me know if you’re interested. =) It’s a part time position, and seems pretty easy to do (although perhaps boring) and easily done by a college student.

Umm, I’m sure I’ve got other stuff to talk about, but I guess it’ll have to wait. =p

Prank

I went to lunch with a coworker and he was mentioning pranks he had done or had done to him in Jester. Once, he was taking a hot shower and his roommate dumped flour on him. It turned into dough and he had chunks stuck in his hair for days, haha. That’s a pretty good one. =)

“Rain, rain on my face
It hasn’t stopped raining for days
My world is a flood
Slowly I become one with the mud

But if I can’t swim after forty days
And my mind is crushed by the thrashing waves
Lift me up so high that I cannot fall
Lift me up
Lift me up - when I’m falling
Lift me up - I’m weak and I’m dying
Lift me up - I need you to hold me
Lift me up - keep me from drowning again” - Jars of Clay

Sharks

So when we were cleaning my old room out, we found a project Oriana had worked on about sharks. It was supposed to be an informative book I suppose, so I will leave you with a page from it:

Sharks are so cool!

Haha, we all started laughing when we saw that. The sunglasses were a nice touch. =)

“The evidence convicts the hollow man
After looking inside
To my dismay I find I’m just one of them
Cause I’m an already but not yet resurrected fallen man
Come break this limbo
And I know you know just who I’ve been
Come define me

Rumor has it you love me
Rumor has it the world spins upside down
Rumor has it my only hope is you
And the rumors are true
I turn everything over” - Switchfoot

Cleaning

Well, I spent the brunt of today cleaning my old room out with the girls in my family. It was actually a pretty decent time with most of the kids trying to throw away as many things a possible without our mom vetoing the decision (ssssh, don’t tell her ;)). We found these audio tapes that Olivia and I used to make around 13 or so years ago to send to our aunt in California and we laughed a whole ton listening to it. I think my voice was higher than Olivia’s… haha. I’m gonna make an MP3 out of it, but I’m not sure if other people will find it as amusing as us. =)

With that, I leave you with Oriana’s away message:

Macaroni Grill @ 5
&
Facing the Giants @ 7.20

with the RR IBS gang.

now a message from Oliver (Gaugau):
Oriana stole all the chicken and wouldn’t let me EAT ANY. Next time you see her, punch her in the face. Also, watch out for our sister’s (Olivia) butt… it’s crusty and you might catch the itch.
