AM... Oh No

It’s so early in the morning I have no idea why I’m still awake. I feel like posting stuff on OliverWEB, but I have no clue what to write about. =/ This probably happens to me in conversations too, I just run out of things to talk about. So, here you see, I’m talking about having nothing to talk about.

Whew. Maybe that was the ice-breaker paragraph I needed.

Oh… no, doesn’t look like it.

LAME.

Freescale

So… not much has happened at Freescale as of yet. I got a pager (one of the text messaging ones… but it’s massive and old =/) and have listened to a bajillion people talk about Freescale. A decent amount of those were managers though trying to get us to come to do one rotation with them and a few of them were interesting (although most of them were heavy on the EE side, but a few good software ones).

Oye, getting up at 7AM’s tough! Though, I think my sleeping schedule will normalize soon and it shouldn’t be so bad anymore (but then, I might be waking up later cause I’ll prob. be able to show up to work later =).

Wellllll…. food time.

It is Time

Tomorrow, I shall wake up in the world of the “grown-ups.” Full time job, no summer, no homework, fat paychecks…

Nancy asked me Sunday morning if I was excited… I’m not really. I’m kinda excited on what projects I’ll be working on and such, but man… Oliver’s grown-up? I don’t think I quite grasp that after working for three months, I won’t be returning to UT. I guess I have a similar feeling to when I graduated. Just seemed like I would be older, have more things figured out than I do now and such crazy things like that when I entered the “grown-ups” world. Alas, I feel like I could just as easily be waking up to walk into AP English and hear moans and groans about Hamlet or play Magic: The Gathering in the cafeteria during lunch. Haha…

I don’t feel grown-up… I’m feeling pushed… shoved into the next stage of my life. I guess I’m ready, I’m not scared… I just can’t believe it. =)

Well guys, here goes nothing!

One Week

I have one week left of freedom. Then, I get dumped into the big mumbo-jumbo that is corporate America. Wheeeeeeeee…

First off this week, is watching Indiana Jones and drinking lots of bottles of Frappuccino! Then, I gotta buy new shoes and get my car inspected. But… I’ll procrastinate on those a bit.

Movie time!

Edit: No Indiana Jones, we’re watching The Professional (international cut).

Choochoo

This week has been lunch week. Started off the week meeting with Sam and Van on campus and chilling with them during lunch, then Nancy and I had lunch today at Chili’s. Been a while since just the two of us have gotten to talk for an extended period of time so that was fun. =) I start work after next week, so the lunches will be coming to a halt soon. =(

Also today, Brook and I received our ceiling fan. Wooooootness!!!

Now we have lights and airflow!

… I gotta finish working on websites…

SF.net Project

I’m itching to work on a little software project I can place on Sourceforge but I can’t think of anything to do. =/

I took back some big prints of pics we had at Liquid and currently Sam getting owned by a snowball is hanging on the wall above my computer. Wheeee.

Apparently, I also still need a gf. A fact I am reminded of daily by certain people. Hehe. =)
