So… I’m tired… I’ll try to post more later, but for now, here are pics from going to New Orleans and our first day. I will leave you with a picture of Harmon and a bunny:
Oh… and an angry Noah because it’s just too awesome:
Hm, it’s been a while since I’ve made a blog post. I took some weddings pics a little while ago and just finished processing some of them in Lightroom, which I still need to fully get the hang of. The internet/wireless at my house is a bit choppy though, so I haven’t been able to upload them, otherwise I’d post a few.
Let’s see… there was a midnight pillow fight thing at UT a while back I went to take pics of, but it turned out to not be as awesome as I had hoped. I didn’t really get any good shots, so I’m not even going to bother posting any.
I got sick on TH/F and developed a fever on Saturday. It was not cool. I’ve been at home just kinda bumming, sleeping, and eating, but I think I’m recovering now. This means I’m missing Vox Veniae’s first Portals (gotta love the fancy names =), which I was looking forward to, but what can ya do. =(
Hmmmm… oh yeah, I have decided to go on a missions trip to New Orleans during spring break. I hadn’t really thought about it until recently, but I have never actually gone on a missions trip before. There were a few times where I almost went, but something always came up that stopped me from going. I’m hoping this will be a good experience for everyone involved. =) When I was going to ask off that week from work, I thought the chances of me actually getting it were pretty slim, but it turned out to work itself out rather nicely, so I’m taking that as divine “thumbs up” sign. ;)
Happy birthday, Kathy Katherine! (decided to be nice since it’s your birthday =)
Went to see The Fray with a bunch of people yesterday and it was enjoyable. I passed out while the opening band was playing, but it was a really nice nap. =) A few songs after The Fray started, I realized I really wanted to take pictures of the lights and stage, so I ran out of the Erwin Center to grab my 5D. I think I got some pretty good shots, but I’ll have to go through them later today or tomorrow or something (along with David Crowder and Wes pics).
I also subjected Oriana to really loud Celine Dion in the car with the windows down while waiting to get out of the parking lot. I think she enjoyed it immensely. >=)
Okay, that is all. Pics to follow… eventually.
Doh, I just realized I need to process the pics from Sean’s wedding too!
Just got back from Vox’s first retreat and it was pretty good besides the horrible time estimates. =) Though, that wasn’t entirely the planner’s fault because the speakers went over their time limits, but I don’t think anyone minded, so it was all good. =)
I’m just going to post some pics here and more are on my flickr.
Everyone always has good things to say about my mom when they find out I’m her son or after they meet her. I always smile, nod, and agree. Thanks for everything, mommy. =) Happy birthday. =)
Happy Birthday, Oriana. =)
June seems so far away. =(
So at Bazaarvoice, I’ve been under contract-to-hire (instead of a “real employee”) for the beginning month or two I’ve been there. Well, I got my offer from them today to transition from contract to… hire, and the offer was more than I was expecting, so I’m quite pleased. =) It’s still a pay hit from when I was at Freescale, but not nearly as much as I thought it would be, so I’m pretty confident I made the right decision to move as I’m enjoying my work a lot more and the money isn’t really as much of an issue any more. =)
In other news, I discovered that the Safari crash bug I found a a while back is now finally fixed. =)
The trip to Alabama was pretty decent, although I probably won’t even do that again anytime soon. I drove pretty much the entire way there in one day (around 12ish hours I think). The wedding was small, but not bad, I wasn’t bored… which seems common at weddings from what I hear? I don’t think I get bored because I’m always trying to take pictures and/or waiting for the next moment I need to capture.
I was pretty happy with the shots I took this time around, I haven’t had a good photo-op in a while. I don’t do well with posed shots; candids are more my thing, and weddings provide ample opportunities for that. Here’re some of my favorites:
This one’s a bit blurry, which makes me sad, cause I really liked the composition with the groom in the background… =(
And… again, the rest are on my flickr.
I also uploaded some pics from Christmas.
Well, it’s Christmas Eve and I’m at home chilling with the family. Have a merry Christmas tomorrow, everyone. =) I may be calling some of you up and/or dropping by, so watch out! ;)
In other news, I uploaded pics from when we took Henrique and Tu to a Brazilian restaurant:
More on my flickr.
