Day in SA

So Van, Viraj and I went down to San Antonio to visit Nancy. Today we spent most of the day lounging around and making food… we made a pie for Avani and then went to her birthday dinner. Unfortunately, Viraj did not manage to get his mack on and score an eligible Indian hottie, but maybe next time, bud.

I’m gonna go smash my face into a pillow now, adios!

Hairy Man 5k

Yay! Finished the Hairy Man 5k this morning with Kathy and Van. I did better than I was expecting and I think I could have even done it a bit faster, especially if I didn’t have my shin to worry about. I was a bit worried on how I would handle the run since I took over a week off of running. I think the what’s-it-ma-called I got to wrap around my calf/shin helped a lot… and the weather was awesome for running.

Anyways, don’t think I banged up my shin too badly… it was nice to run again. =)

A coworker asked me if I knew of any haunted haystack rides, and I had no idea what they were when he asked. On the way out of the Hairy Man 5k, I saw a sign for one though. What is it? Is it just you ride on the back of a truck with haystacks, go down a trail and “haunted” stuff attack you?

Post-Birthday

Well, I had a pleasant birthday, thanks everyone. =) After some early morning work on AndrewApproved.com and stuffing myself with some sweet things that will probably kill me someday, I went to sleep and woke up to a bajillion missed calls and voicemails. Haha, I wish I had saved the ones from Andrew, which were left before and after he discovered AndrewApproved.com.

Went to dinner with the family, which was tasty and then went to Olivia’s. On the way to Olivia’s, I inflicted my music upon Oriana, which is always quite amusing. =) Once at Olivia’s, I was forced to try on jeans and jeans and more jeans… I think Olivia’s flickr has more pictures from dinner and at her apartment.

More Jeans...

So… yup, nothing too crazy, but enough little gems here and there for make it memorable nonetheless (like getting facebook spammed with messages, which I’m hesitant to say is pleasant, but it was memorable I suppose). Thanks. =) Oh yeah, and thanks to Van for the keyboard. =)

“I’ve been cheated by you since I don’t know when
So I made up my mind, it must come to an end
Look at me now, will I ever learn?
I don’t know how but I suddenly lose control
There’s a fire within my soul
Just one look and I can hear a bell ring
One more look and I forget everything, o-o-o-oh

Mamma mia, here I go again
My my, how can I resist you?
Mamma mia, does it show again?
My my, just how much I’ve missed you
Yes, I’ve been brokenhearted
Blue since the day we parted
Why, why did I ever let you go?
Mamma mia, now I really know,
My my, I could never let you go.” - ABBA

5am

Oye, nights of DotA leave my head a little funny feeling. Haha… was fun, guys. =) It is rare that we get full 5v5 games (that aren’t on Battle.net with strangers)… it was pretty cool. We had Andrew and Jen connect from Florida and play too. Hope we weren’t too mean to you, Jen. =)

I was listening to my Andrew Approved iPod as we played DotA and it was quite amusing battling it out listening to Celine Dion and the like. Haha… your heart will not go on!!

“Revvin’ up your engine
Listen to her howlin’ roar
Metal under tension
Beggin’ you to touch and go

Highway to the Danger Zone
Ride into the Danger Zone” - Kenny Loggins

Hmmm...

What’s that I hear on the horizon? Ahh, the thunderous sounds of Defense of the Ancients. Seems like we’re going to have a rather large partay tonight. ;)

“OHHH MY HOMIES!!!!”

stupid

Okay, so I’m stupid. Yeah yeah. lol

Yesterday, I went running and the pain in my shin was kinda gone while I was jogging, and I felt like I had the energy to do a bit of sprinting, so despite knowing I probably shouldn’t because my shin probably wasn’t fully okay yet, I did it anyways. Haha… now I think I’m going to have to take a rather extended break from running/jogging because it’s hurting quite a bit more now and even when I’m not using it (like when I’m sitting). Oh, but that sprint sure did feel nice.

Edit: Hey, the pain’s subsided a bit, maybe I’ll run today! (haha, j/k). After listening to them on Angell’s Xanga a while back, I’ve been listening to a decent amount of All-American Rejects. I kinda like how they sound. shrug =)

“Is there anybody out there?
That wakes up with a bitter taste?
It’s a king that we put up there
And he’s a short way to fall from grace
It’s slowly filling upward.
You can stand but you have no ground.
I hear it from the lost words.
They say it’s time that you lost your crown.” - All-American Rejects

Ago

About a year ago, Van became a Christian.

About two years ago, I got my first DSLR.

About three years ago, apparently not much happened.

About four years ago, I tried to watch My Sassy Girl and removed the ability for other people to post on OliverWEB.

About five years ago, the password was removed from OliverWEB and uh… I guess Chad made his site.

About six years ago, Wes made his first post on OliverWEB.

About seven years ago, OliverWEB.

Wow… seven years.

Google YouTube

So, Google buys YouTube, eh? I was kinda hoping Yahoo! would buy it. I’ve kinda been rooting for the underdog search engine for a while (even though I don’t use it) out of my fondness of flickr and general positive attitude for del.icio.us.

Oh… I’m hungry, that’s all I’m going to say for now… must find food…

Edit: My shin is still hurting. It’s alright until a mile or so, after that it starts to hurt a decent amount with every step. I wonder when it will go away… I want to run a 5k. =(

Oh yeah, and I feel really sorry for this kid. Haha… that guy is going to be made fun of for a while.

“Did you think that I would cry
On the phone?
Do you know what it feels like
Being alone?
I’ll find someone new

From the tangles of
My heart is crushed By a former love
Can you help me find a way
To carry on again?” - All-American Rejects
