Wedding went alright, I think. I photoshop edited a few pictures, but got too lazy on the rest besides simple exposure/color balance changes in Aperture. Here are a few more pics:

Wedding

Going to take pictures at a wedding (reception?) in an hour or two while Viraj tries to nail down some Texas/Ohio tickets. =) I spent much of the last hour scouring the FredMiranda forums looking at wedding pictures and post-processing techniques. Man, there are some good photographers there (and lots of not so great ones, haha). Batteries charged, check, CF cards in the cameras and formatted, check, flash ready, check, lenses ready/cleaned, check. Alright, I’m good to go.

I don’t think I take good posed shots… just cause I don’t have much experience with it I guess. I much prefer candid shots I suppose. We’ll see, I’m not sure exactly what type of pictures I’m supposed to take…

Sunscreen Tattoos

Okay, I felt kinda weird taking these (and posting them), haha, but I’ll do it anyways for all of you to admire my hot bod. ;) So at the beach in Florida, Megan and Kathy drew stuff on me with sunscreen and this is how it turned out:

I showed some coworkers the smiley and they laughed and asked if I was asleep when people drew on me, haha… then were kinda skeptical I voluntarily let this happen… =)

Took this shot with my new 50mm f/1.4. I think I’m gonna try it out for a bit and maybe sell off my 85L. I don’t think I’ll even bring my 85L to Florida… well, maybe I will… hmm, we’ll see… I must pack…

I’ve been making a decent amount of OliverWEB drafts, but haven’t come up with a design I want to stick with yet. Well, I’ve got a month and so to come up with something, so we’ll see. =)

I kind of want to use pink in the new layout, but not too much cause it’ll just contrast too much with pictures I post, I think. Haha… maybe a splash… =)

Thanksgiving Pics

Well, I used the “studio” Olivia and I setup to take more pics of our Thanksgiving guests and family. In many of these pictures, I know what I wanted to do, but I was limited by the lighting and maneauvering room. I really really wanted to narrow my aperture in many of these pics to get a larger depth of view and to get it sharper, but the lighting just wasn’t there and I think I was already maxing the output on my flash. An addition flash or two for more lighting and balance would really help a lot. Oh yeah, and if I could walk and take pictures through walls.

Added a bunch of pics of my sisters to my flickr. I learned I need more lights. Also, I highly doubt that we can turn one of the rooms in our apartment into a studio, there’s just plain not enough room. We’ll need to use a garage or something, lol.
